Terms of Service

By accessing or using Fora (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including individual users and organizations (“Workspaces”). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Fora is a privacy-first workflow assistant that connects to your email, calendar, documents, and messaging services to:

• Surface tasks and commitments from your communications
• Generate meeting briefs and context summaries
• Automate follow-up reminders and notifications
• Provide an AI assistant for querying your work context
• Maintain a knowledge graph of your professional relationships

The Service is designed to minimize data storage. While we store task metadata, summaries, and short previews to provide useful features, raw content from your emails and documents is not persisted. See our Privacy Policy for details.

To use Fora, you must:

• Have a valid Google Workspace or Gmail account for authentication
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use the Service
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at security@fora.is if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Not share your account access with unauthorized individuals
• Ensure that any data you connect to Fora does not violate third-party rights
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Upload, transmit, or store content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity or falsely represent your affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam)
• Use automated means to access the Service except through our official APIs
• Bypass or attempt to bypass any security measures of the Service

Your Content: You retain all rights to the content you connect to or create through Fora. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

Our Service: Fora and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Fora, Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Feedback: If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Free Tier: We offer a free tier with limited features. See our Pricing page for current plan details.

Paid Plans: Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You agree to pay all applicable fees associated with your chosen plan.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.

Price Changes: We may change our prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

The Service integrates with third-party services (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions to connect third-party services to Fora.

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice when possible)
• Emergency maintenance or security updates
• Factors beyond our control (third-party service outages, etc.)

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FORA, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies; you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information before relying on it.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fora, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you connect to or generate through the Service

By You: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if:

• You violate these Terms
• We are required to do so by law
• We reasonably believe your use poses a security risk to us or others
• Your account has been inactive for an extended period

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.

For significant changes, we will also send an email notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fora regarding the Service.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
